City of Fairfax Police Seek Information on Suspicious Subject

City of Fairfax Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male subject who approached a female juvenile while she was waiting for a ride to school. The suspicious event occurred about 8:15 AM on Monday, October 17 in the 10500 Block of Cedar Avenue. The juvenile reported that the man approached her with an unknown object in his hand. The girl threw a lawn chair at the man and ran to her home while the man fled on foot. A search of the area by police failed to locate the individual. The female juvenile reported that the same man had approached her on October 13 at her bus stop located at Cedar Avenue and Chain Bridge Road. The man spoke to her briefly before she boarded the school bus. The girl was not injured in either encounter. The man is described as white, in his fifties or sixties, heavy set, with a gray beard and wearing all black clothing.
